Mama, teacher, speaker and spirit junkie, Maria Salvatore has been teaching yoga and meditation for over a decade, and has been studying with master yoga teachers since 1999. Maria offers movement and meditation as a way to approach our world with realistic reverence and gratitude. Her classes are a masterful, candid blend of artful alignment and attention cues for your body, mind and heart. 

 

From local yoga studios to the beautiful lawn at Central Park, Maria is honored to offer larger-scale experiences of yoga and meditation, but her true service is in shifting awareness within the smallest interactions, one person at a time. In addition to virtual classes, Maria teaches weekly and monthly classes in New Jersey and New York and offers retreats, workshops and trainings. 

 

Maria serves on the Advisory Board for the Graf Center for Integrative Medicine at Englewood Hospital and formerly served on the Executive Board of Kula for Karma, a nonprofit organization that brings therapeutic yoga and mindfulness practices to populations navigating trauma, addiction, and mental health challenges.

 

In addition to her yoga practice and philanthropic leadership, Maria is an Advanced Energy Medicine Practitioner through The Four Winds Society and a Usui Reiki Master Teacher. She is also a YACEP (Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider), a designation from Yoga Alliance recognizing experienced educators who teach continuing education, mentor, and certify yoga teachers.

Most recently, Maria has expanded her healing offerings to include sound healing, weaving vibration and frequency into her retreats, trainings, and immersive experiences to support deep restoration and energetic alignment.​
